October’s Pet of the Month!

Boo and Jake

October’s very special pet…well pets of the month are Mr. Boo and Mr. Jake. These boys are the most sweetest, smiley, well-behaved friends I could ask for.

Jake and Boo are (we think) American Bulldog rescues. When they were rescued, poor little Boo had cuts and scars up and down his face from being abused. Although Jake had no physical injuries, he was so timid, shy and scared, a ladybug would take his breath away from abuse he had endured. Nobody knew exactly what these poor fellas had been through, they just knew it wasn’t good.

It was obvious that Jake needed Boo to speak up for him, as well as lead the way because Jake was too afraid to. Although they weren’t sure if the boys were litter-mates, they definitely became family in the shelter and
Maggie and Ben did not have the heart to leave one behind.

With lots of patience, love and kindness, Maggie and Ben gave both of these a boys a new confidence and great BIG new life!

Boo and Jake are the GREATEST example to all of us of what everyone has the potential to overcome when life brings us badness. Boo and Jake looked to eachother as best friends and family and found love, comfort and strength in eachother, giving them enough confidence to trust and believe in the human race AGAIN, even though they were let down before.

Boo and Jake are our Pets of the Month because they have taught us that giving second chances are an absolute necessity in growing and happiness within our own lives. We love you Boo and Jake!
